Lyra Virelac

bedevil the heart of a professed coquette

High-spirited companion, French-American at-the-ready girl

Two years ago, I left a successful career in tech to follow the zigzag line of my dreams and appetites. I’m called to this work, and to you, because I love meeting new people and using the unmarked space between us to create a more colorful and enchanted world.

Life burns through me brightly.

I value intense connections and find beauty in the interplay between authenticity and performance. I’m thrilled by novelty and irreverence, intellect and controversy; I fall in love too easily with the wayward patterns of an untamed mind.

On the surface, I’m an incorrigible flirt with a mischievous edge who often dances on the line of social convention.

In private, I can be incredibly silly and sweet. I tend to leave long-time lovers with an impression of me as an absurd and vaguely disturbed imp, but a kind-hearted one in the end.

I’m lucky to be able to spend most of my time pursuing intellectual interests and thinking about art (I like making art, too, so there’s that albatross—by day I’m a director in theater and film, by night a writer—when I don’t have company!).

Right now I’m learning about prion diseases, the psychology of deviant spirituality, eschatological movements, and New American Film history.

But I’m curious about everything. I want to know what you’re thinking about! Email me at lyramarie@proton.me.
